Gulfstream G800 has received FAA and EASA certifications. With a list price of $72.5 million, the long-range business jet is ready for delivery.
Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, has announced that its new long-range business jet, the Gulfstream G800, has received type certification from both the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). With a list price of $72.5 million, the G800 is now ready for customer deliveries in the U.S. and Europe.
The certification process also confirmed that the aircraft has achieved higher-than-expected performance figures.
370 km increase in range
The G800 now offers a range of 8,200 nautical miles (15,186 km) at Mach 0.85—200 nautical miles (370 km) more than initially projected. At high-speed cruise (Mach 0.90), it can fly 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 km), while at Mach 0.87, it can reach up to 8,000 nautical miles (14,816 km). The aircraft’s maximum cruise speed has been increased from Mach 0.925 (982 km/h) to Mach 0.935 (993 km/h).
Certified for 1,771-meter takeoff and 946-meter landing distance
The G800 has been certified with a balanced field length of 5,812 feet (1,771 meters) for takeoff and 3,105 feet (946 meters) for landing. These figures are shorter than previously published, allowing access to a wider range of airports.

At a cruising altitude of 41,000 feet (12,497 meters), the G800 maintains a cabin altitude of just 2,840 feet (866 meters)—the lowest in the industry. The cabin features 100% fresh air, a plasma-ionization air purification system, and 16 Gulfstream panoramic oval windows. It can be configured with four living areas or three living areas plus a dedicated crew compartment, offering a quiet and luxurious interior environment.
Powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines
The G800’s ultra-long range, high-speed capabilities, and improved fuel efficiency are enabled by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and Gulfstream’s advanced wing and winglet designs.
Gulfstream confirmed that preparations for the aircraft’s entry into service have been completed and that deliveries in the U.S. and Europe will commence shortly.
“G800 exceeded expectations”
Commenting on the milestone, Gulfstream President Mark Burns said:
“With the certification of the G800, Gulfstream has again exceeded expectations thanks to the expertise and rigor of our flight test, certification and manufacturing teams. The G800 marks the latest evolution of business aviation as we continue to build the next-generation fleet and bring industry-leading performance and efficiency to the market. With the capability enhancements we have achieved, Gulfstream customers will greatly benefit from the increased flexibility and range the G800 offers.”
